Our Mission
We are Freshman from Enumclaw High school who are working to help make a positive impact on the lives of the people of Uganda. We are working with Rachel and Isaac Mubezi to provide handwashing instructions, special menues, and farming supplies for the hospital they are building.
About Something Deeper Ministries
Something Deeper Ministries was founded by Issac and Rachel Mubezi. They are working to build a hospital for the people of Uganda. Their mission is stated on their website, "Our mission is to engage a multi-sectorial and professional approach with strong community participation and ownership for the enhancement of healthcare, spiritual and social support and development of local people for a sustainable economic development."
About AP + WE
AP + WE's main goal is to incorporate service learning into AP classes."By incorporating hands-on service-learning projects into AP courses, AP with WE Service empowers students to become leaders and agents of change"(AP Central). At the end of the year, our AP class has the opportunity to attend WE Day, where we are inspired by leaders around the world, as a reward for our AP + WE service throughout the school year.

Handwashing Instruction
Many people die in Uganda from bacterias that could be prevented by washing your hands. That is why we are working to help educate the patients of the new hospital on how to wash their hands. We will be printing out instructions that will be made in the classroom, then sent to Uganda. Once in Uganda, they will be hung in spots for patients to easily see them and use the information on the posters to successfully wash their hands.
Special Menus
The menus are for the patients in the hospital who need to have a certain meal in order to help heal. This will help them eat the right things based on the condition they have, so they will know what they can eat when they are out of the hospital as well. Also, this will help the chefs to know what they can make in order to keep the patients healthy.
Farming Supplies
We will be working to provide shovels, pitchforks and different types of seeds to build keyhole gardens around the hospital. The food grown in these gardens can be used to help feed the patients of the hospital. As of right now, the patients family must bring them food, so we want to help take that responsibility away from them so they can focus on the health of their loved one(s).
